How fees work

Plain answers on paying for care, before you book.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill most PPO plans and some employer plans. What a plan pays for chiropractic visits differs from plan to plan, and some care, such as time on the decompression table, may be paid differently or not at all.

    • Ask us about yours

  • If you pay yourself

If you pay yourself, your doctor tells you the fee for each part of your visit before it happens, and you pay at the visit. The front desk can give you the fee list.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

After each visit we can give you an itemized receipt, sometimes called a superbill. If your plan reimburses out-of-network care you can send it in, and the plan decides what it pays.

  • An estimate in advance

If you are not using insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. We give you a written estimate in advance and go through it with you before your first visit.

  • Checking your benefits

Our front desk checks your benefits before your first visit and calls you with what they find, including any copay or deductible. Decompression and exercise visits are sometimes billed differently from adjustments, so ask what yours will be.

  • What the first visit includes

The first visit takes about an hour. Follow-up visits are shorter, and your doctor tells you how long yours will be.

    • History and exam

    • Your options explained

    • Care only if you agree

To cancel or change a visit, call us as early as you can. Ask the front desk about the practice’s cancellation policy.
