What to expect at your first visit

Plan on about an hour. You talk with your doctor, have an exam that includes how you stand and walk, hear what was found and what your options are, and decide what happens next. X-rays are taken only when your doctor decides they are medically necessary. Care starts that day only if you agree.

  • Wear what you can move in

You stay dressed for the exam, and your doctor tells you first if anything needs to change.

  • Bring the shoes you walk in

Your doctor may watch how you walk in them.

  • Bring a photo ID

And your insurance card, if you have one.

  • Say no at any point

You can decline any part of care, or stop, at any time.

The visit in order

From check-in to your plan

The same four steps for every new patient.

  • Check in

You confirm how you would like to pay. No health paperwork is needed in advance.

  • The exam

You talk about your history and what you want from care. Your doctor then watches how you stand and walk.

  • What we found

Your doctor explains what was found, the options, the risks of each and what each would cost.

  • Your plan

If you agree to a plan, your doctor goes through it with you and the front desk books your next visit.
